Name: Servuris

Gender: Male

Breed: Smilodon

Mate: N/A

Likes: To hunt alone, he likes the silence of the hunt.

Dislikes: Crowding, it makes him uncomfortable.

Strengths: He is very strong, as you can easily imagine.

Weaknesses: Though he is strong, he has a dreadful temper. He tends to lash out at others without thinking about what he's doing. His back legs are weak.

Origin: At first he didn't have such a bad temper. He was actually fairly well natured. He also didn't have the calligraphy or the skull on his back. His eyes were a blue green as well. Till it happened. The male was out hunting alone, like he's always liked to. His family was all back home. Once he managed to bring down a young cocky buck he started home with the prey. But once he was there, things got out of hand. Or they already were at least.

Demons, yep. Demons. There were a lot around the area, but they'd never outright attacked the sabers. Even though the two species had never gotten along. The creatures had slaughtered the clan. He could see some scrambled foot prints on the ground, some had gotten away. Some had to have gotten away. But instead of killing Servuris, they smirked and cursed him. Within this curse, he gained red eyes, the skull on his back and the marking on his shoulder. Along with his vicious temper.

The blackouts were slowly killing him. He soon reserved himself back to the forest. The darkest place, area of the forest. Only the truly dangerous or lonely creatures lived here. He made himself one of them. Though for hunting he still had to take himself out to the lighter parts, with the better creatures. There he met another saber. The other was a young male, rather jumpy, skittish. But also thoughtful and rather considerate. He was hunting alone for a test, if he didn't return with anything, he failed and was stuck with cub duty for another year. Which meant watching cubs.

See, the clans of the sabers worked a lot like wolf packs. Though the sabers were a lot rougher, crude. Yet they tend to be quite close to their family as well.

Servuris spoke with the saber for a bit. Then in the end he helped the young find a deer, and gave some hunting tips. The other saber took it down. Servuris smiled a ghost of a smile, happier then he had been in a while. But he had to go. Before something went wrong. And something was bound to go wrong. But the younger one wanted him to stick around.

So he did. He ended up back at the clans camp. The whole thing seemed strange to him. The crowd though. He was a lot bigger then all of them. Lifting his head slightly he wondered if any of them had come from his clan. His clan... No, not those thoughts. He banished them, remembering these things brought on the flashes, blanks.

"Hey, what's your name? Skull or somethin'?" One asked with a smirk.

"Servuris." He replied, eyes darkening at the thought of his name changing.

The dark tone quieted a few of them. But another, obviously a powerful one, possibly the leader, approached. "It's been a while since we've had one like you around. Our elders warn of a curse on you. Your markings seem to reflect this. Tell me, where is your clan?"

"They're dead." He replied, not going any further in explaining.

The leader looked rather surprised. "What could kill all your clan like that?"

"Demons." The sabers backed off watching him warily. The leader looked at him with an odd expression. Servuris noticed now how the leaders left eye had claw marks over it and the eye was clouded over. He was blind in it. "They killed my whole clan. Slaughtered them while I was hunting." The black and white saber stated.

"Then is that how you got these strange markings?" He asked.

"Yes." He glanced away and padded over to the edge of the camp, looking out at the forest now he wondered if the demons would ever come for him. Or the other sabers here. "That's why I live back out in the thicker part of the forest. I never planned to run into another saber around here." He stated, figuring that they would be sending him off soon.

But the leader just smirked. "I'm Evril. I assume you plan to return back to the forest?" Servuris just nodded.

"You are not afraid?"

"Of course not. The demons have come around here before, we attack and drive them away. Being afraid of one of our own that they cursed makes us afraid of them as well. Does it not?" He replied.

"I suppose it does." He replied smirking as well. The other sabers roared out in approval. This leader may not be very big, but he was smart and had everyones support it seemed.

He assumed things would end badly. Always he did. But things were fine. It was like he had forgotten his temper. Someone challenged him to a little fight and he came out as a winner. It'd been forever since he had been around his own kind. He didn't realize how much he had missed it. The saber was even able to ignore the crowding.

Once he returned back to his cave on the side of a large rock wall. There was a waterfall a little further down. He liked the height though. It was good for building strength as well, having to climb up to get to his cave.

It wasn't till a few weeks later that a saber from the clan found his dwellings. Servuris was just jumping off the last rock to the bottom when the dark brown saber met up with him. "Hey, Evril wanted to ask you something. He couldn't make it here. But he wanted to ask if you would join our clan." He asked.

Surprised, wantting to, but know he couldn't, he refused. But the clan kept sending more and more sabers. Evril was ill, he found out from one too talkative one. It was getting annoying though. The constant stream of them. He knew all of their scents individually now. And he finally did lose his temper on a few of them. But they just came out with a few scratches. Lucky enough for them. Till the first one he had met was sent.

"Hey... Sorry, they sent me to ask. Evril doesn't like a saber just outside the terratory... Alone... Why won't you join though? I don't understand." He was timid.

Servuris growled, his eyes flashing dangerously. "I cannot." He growled rather viciously.

"But..." That was it. He snapped. It ended very badly. Very, very badly. He killed the younger saber, though he didn't mean to. Leaving the area, he could no longer stay after that.

He left the place. Far from it he stays. He hasn't seen another demon or another saber since.
